Pauline A. Lata

Pauline A. Lata of Jeffersonville, NY, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at her home. She was 76.

She was a graduate of Kean University, formerly Newark State College of NJ and held a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She also worked in the health care profession as a medical secretary. Pauline was kind and loving. She was active at the Villa Roma where she worked at the gym and pool. She was very artistic and musically inclined. Pauline will be deeply missed by her family.

Surviving are her sister, Florence J. Apostol (Jack) of Iselin, NJ, her brother, Paul J. Lata (Cheryle) of Manville, NJ and her sister, Rosemary Lata (Douglas) of Iselin, NJ; close friends, Doug and his wife Kerri Muzuruk and William Sattler and his wife Kayla and their children, and Frank Sattler.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard T. Hanis in 2022 and her parents, Genevieve (1989) and Bruno P. Lata (1990).

Visitation will be Friday, February 6, 2026 from 1 PM to 3 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY. Funeral services will be Friday, February 6, 2026 at 3 PM in the funeral home. Pastor Joseph LeConey will officiate.
