Peter Muth

Peter T. Muth of Jeffersonville, NY a retired Military Officer for the US Coast Guard and a lifelong area resident, died Friday, April 25, 2025 at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, NY. He was 87.

The son of the late George, Sr. and Mary Ryan Muth, he was born January 3, 1938 in Callicoon Center, NY.

Peter was an Alumni USCGA Class of 62’; a member of the Knights of Columbus; and a communicant of St. George’s Catholic Church.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Kathleen Brady in 1992; and his second wife, Carol Allor in 2025.

Survivors include his children, Suzanne LaForte, Patrick Muth, and Sean Muth; one brother, Michael Nakao; three children from Carol’s first marriage, Michelle DiFusco, TJ Allor and Chuck Allor.

Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2025 from 4 to 7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church, Youngsville, NY. Father Antony David will officiate.
