Robert L. Silsbe

Robert Lloyd Silsbe of Tennanah Lake, NY, and Venice, FL, died Friday, September 25, 2026. He was 72.

The son of the late Seymour and Joan Pearlstein Silsbe, he was born July 22, 1954, in Brooklyn, NY. Known as Bob to family and friends, he was a graduate of James Madison High School, graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in political science, and earned his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, AZ.

He went on to have a long and successful 27-year career with Paychex. Bob was extremely knowledgeable, particularly when it came to technology, and was always willing to share what he knew and help family and friends when they needed it. He was thoughtful toward those he cared about and would light up in conversation with the people closest to him.

Bob enjoyed golfing, boating, watching sports, and always cheered for his NY Giants. He spent many years at Tennanah Lake, where he especially loved to golf, and enjoyed spending the winter months in Venice, FL. Bob and his wife of 33 years, Jeanmarie, shared a love of travel, spending many years exploring new places together and building lasting memories along the way. His favorite time was spent with his family. He took tremendous pride in his children and grandchildren and loved following their lives and accomplishments.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanmarie Silsbe, at home; his sons, Ryan Silsbe and his wife Kerri of Manalapan, NJ, and Robert Silsbe of FL; his daughter, Ashley Hunt and her husband David of Manasquan, NJ; his brother, James Silsbe and his wife Mindy of Brooklyn, NY; his grandchildren, Makenna, Maddyn, Colin, Peyton, Jack, Reese, Owen, and a grandson on the way; and many nieces and a nephew.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Obernburg, NY.
