Russell "Duke" Osterhout

Russell H. "Duke" Osterhout of Nampa, Idaho, formerly of Liberty, NY, died March 28, 2020 in Nampa, Idaho.  He was 78.

The son of the late Russell and Scyrintha Rodney Osterhout, he was born September 11, 1941 in Liberty, NY.

He was the Founder and President of Pacific Freight Transportation, Inc., San Diego, Ca. and ran the business for 39 year.  He was a member of several Shipper and Trucking Associations in San Diego throughout his career.  Duke had been a member of St. Gabriel's Church in Poway, CA.  He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Kelly Osterhout, at home; a daughter, Colleen George of Nampa, Idaho; a son, Brian Osterhout and his wife Anne of Alabama; two granddaughters, Alexandra George and Kendall George; a grandson, Sean Osterhout; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services and burial with military honors will be Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 12 noon at the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery Sunset Lake Road, Liberty, NY.
