Sharon Erdman

Sharon D. Erdman of Cochecton, NY, a retired Teacher Assistant for Sullivan County BOCES, and a lifelong area resident died Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Garnet Health Hospital in Middletown, NY. She was 79.

The daughter of the late Elmer and Jessie Neill Townsend, she was born October 14, 1944 in Callicoon, NY.

Survivors include her devoted husband of sixty-two years, William Erdman, at home; three daughters, Lyn Bowen of Rifle, CO, Sherry Benson of Ballston Spa, NY and Jennifer Laarmann, Jeffersonville NY; one son, Brett Erdman and his life partner, Amber Welton of Cochecton, NY; two sisters, Laurie DePaolo and Lisa Moran and her husband Thomas; one brother, Wayne Townsend and his wife Mary Alice; eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Walter Townsend.

Visitation will be Monday, July 15, 2024 from 10 AM - 11 AM in the Fosterdale United Methodist Church, Route 17B, Fosterdale, NY.

Funeral Services will be Monday, July 15, 2024 at 11 AM in the Fosterdale United Methodist Church, Route 17B, Fosterdale, NY. The Rev. William Hagerty will officiate.

Burial will be in the Fosterdale Cemetery, Fosterdale, NY.
