Stacey Benton

Stacey Benton of Liberty, NY, Deputy Chief Clerk of the Sullivan County Family Court, Monticello, NY and a life long area resident, died Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY.  She was 54.

The daughter of the late Richard A. and Sydney Rappaport Benton, she was born March 12, 1966 in Liberty, NY.

Stacey had been an avid golfer; she had a great sense of humor; and she loved her dogs.

Survivors include her brother, Jonathan Benton of Liberty, NY; two nieces, Brittany Benton and her fiancé Jake Gorr of Livingston Manor, NY and Marissa Benton of Liberty, NY; her aunt Myra Morse and her husband Harry of Conway, SC and their daughter, Rori Morse of Raleigh, NC; aunts, Brenda Benton and Debbie Benton of Liberty, NY; one uncle, Robert Benton and his wife Sherri of Florida; several cousins; and her dear friend, Tina Benson.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Benjamin Benton and Leigh “Bubs” Benton.

Graveside services and burial will be Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 12 Noon in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, NY.  The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.
