Steven Ropke

Steven Michael Ropke of Homosassa, FL passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at his home.  He was 63.

The son of the late Oscar and Vivian Thomas Ropke, he was born June 2, 1954 in Honesdale, PA.

A teacher for most of his life, Steve taught at Crystal River Primary School for many years and previous to that, he taught at Ascension Catholic Parochial School in Donaldsonville, LA.  He was a graduate of Geneva College and a member of Tall Clubs International.  He was Roman Catholic but also attended Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto.

Survivors include his sister, Lynn Wachter of Roscoe, NY; one aunt, Stella Ropke of Narrowsburg, NY and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services and burial will be Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11 AM in the Riverview Cemetery in Roscoe, NY.  Father Edward Bader will officiate.
