Steven L. Slaughter

Steven L. Slaughter of Long Eddy, NY the owner of Catskill Landscape Design, Inc and a long time area resident, died Thursday, June 26, 2025 at his home. He was 69.

Steven was born January 10, 1956 in Miami, Florida. He proudly served Our Country from 1974 to 1977 in the US Army. Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing, classic cars and going on road trips.

Survivors include his wife Kathleen M. Slaughter, at home; three sons, Robin VanGinhoven and his wife Jill of Pittsford, NY, Timothy Champagne and his wife Cari of Wallingford, CT and Steven J. Slaughter and his sweetheart Rebecca Rakin of Youngsville, NY; one daughter, Cheyenne Foster and her husband Casey of Callicoon Center, NY; two brothers, Ron Bedell of FL and Gordon Bedell of FL; one sister, Carol Falcone and her husband Daniel of Youngsville, NY; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Adelaide Bedell; and one brother, Thomas Falcone.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 5 to 8 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Carl Caskey will officiate. Burial will follow at the Callicoon Center Cemetery, Callicoon Center, NY.
