Vanessa Berrios Sanchez

Vanessa Maria Berrios Sanchez of Monticello, NY, a phlebotomist at Crystal Run Healthcare, Rock Hill, NY and a long-time area resident, died Monday, August 17, 2020 at her home.  She was 40.

The daughter of Ramona Texidor and the late Israel Berrios Sanchez, she was born September 8, 1979 in Nyack, NY.

Vanessa loved animals; especially her dogs.

Survivors include two sons, Christopher Wald of Oklahoma City, OK and Dominick Sanchez of Ellenville, NY; her mother, Ramona Texidor of Oklahoma City, OK; her step-father, Roberto Lugo of Swan Lake, NY; one brother, Vincent Moscatello of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister, Pauline Olivera and her husband Ralph Ahart of Roscoe, NY; two grandchildren, Jayden Sanchez and Elsiana Sanchez; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Israel Berrios Sanchez; and one daughter, Alexandria Sanchez.

Visitation will be Monday, August 24, 2020 from 10 to 11:45 AM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley Liberty, NY.  Social distancing guidelines must be met, a limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the funeral home, facemasks are required.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 12 Noon in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY.  Father Edward Bader will officiate.

Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.

Memorial contributions in Vanessa’s name may be made to Sullivan County SPCA, 104 Rock Hill Drive, Rock Hill, NY 12775.
