Virginia K. Woods

Virginia K. "Ginny" Woods of Liberty, NY a retired Executive Secretary for Joseph C. Woods Surveyor of Liberty, NY and a lifelong area resident died Thursday, December 7, 2023 at her home.  She was 93.

The daughter of the late Ernest Sidaway and Lillian Helms, she was born October 7, 1930 in Long Eddy, NY.

Ginny enjoyed spending time with and caring for her family.  She always put everyone else first and herself last. She was the best Mom, Gram and GG anyone could ever ask for.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Smith (G. Michael) of Biloxi, MS, Patty DeVoe (Kim) of White Sulphur Springs, NY and Claudia Straniere (Mike) of Watervliet, NY; four sons, Tom Cronk (Beth) of Livingston Manor, NY, David Woods (Lisa) of Simsbury, CT, Steve Woods (Kathy) of Medical Lake, WA, and Michael Woods (Jane) of Liberty, NY; twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband Joseph C. Woods on July 20, 2017 and by her son, Robert Cronk.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 10 - 11 AM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11 AM in the funeral home.  The Rev. Elizabeth Groskoph will officiate.

Burial will be in the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery Sunset Lake Road, Liberty, NY.
