William Ralph Lake

William “Bunk” Ralph Lake, Sr. of Roscoe, NY, a retired rural mail carrier for the Roscoe Post Office, Roscoe, NY, and a lifelong area resident died Thursday, August 10, 2017 at his home.  He was 86.

The son of the late Howard P. and Annabelle Finnegan Lake, he was born October 19, 1930 in Cooks Falls, NY.

William proudly served Our Country in the US Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict; he had worked or the US Postal Service for 33 years.

Survivors include two sons, William “Bill” Lake, Jr.  and his wife Pam of Kissimmee, FL and Mark R. Lake and his wife Brenda of Roscoe, NY; four grandsons, Matthew and his wife Kelly, Marc, David, and Paul; one granddaughter, Erin; two great granddaughters, Ivy and Chandler; five sisters, Barbara “Bobbi” Cromie, Ginger Wakeman and her husband Russell; Alice Meyers, Sharon Keene, and Carol Gerow and her husband Thomas; one brother, Thomas Lake and his wife Roxanne; one brother-in-law, Robert “John” Chapman and his companion, Flora.

He was predeceased by his wife, JuneAnne Chapman Lake; one son, Kevin John Lake; one brother, Donald Lake; and three sisters, Dorothy Pherrigo, Rosemary Fassberger, and Joyce Bury.

Private burial with military honors will be in the Cooks Falls Cemetery, Cooks Falls, NY.
