Betty Mcnamara
Betty J. McNamara of Woodbourne, NY, a retired horticulturist at the Pines Hotel in South Fallsburg, NY and a lifelong area resident, died Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Garnet
Health Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 88.
The daughter of the late Chester A. and Edna Marie Hall Foster, she was born August 7, 1934 in Middletown, NY.
Betty was a lifelong member of the Grahamsville United Methodist Church. She spent many hours baking for fellowship luncheons and supporting the Thrift Shop. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed sewing quilts for her grandchildren, gardening, and her Monday afternoon card games with her dear friends.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond McNamara; her children, Michael McNamara and his wife Emily of Hurleyville, NY, Patrick McNamara of Woodbourne, NY and Terry McNamara and his wife Rhonda of Grahamsville, NY; her grandchildren, Brittany, Christian, Kelly, Stephen, Kayla, Sean and Courtney; and two brothers, Paul Allen Foster and his wife Joan and Gary Foster and his wife Patty. She was predeceased by her sister, Carol Smith.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY. Funeral services will be Monday, September 12, 2022 at 11 AM in the Grahamsville United Methodist Church, 350 Main Street, Grahamsville, NY.
Burial will be in the Grahamsville Rural Cemetery, Grahamsville, NY.
