Edwin Fancher, Jr.

Edwin S. Fancher, Jr. of Liberty, NY, a lifelong area resident died on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at his home.  He was 36.

The son of Edwin S. Fancher, Sr. and Katherina Skarica, he was born June 22, 1985 in Harris, NY.

Eddie was always the life of the party. He brought so many smiles and laughs to so many. He was one of the most genuine people you'd ever meet. He always enjoyed being active outdoors, from sports in high school to fishing and hunting with his father to skating boarding along the Jersey shore. His family always came first and cherished every moment he spent with them.

Survivors include his parents, his father, Edwin Fancher, Sr. of Liberty, NY; his mother, Katherina Skarica and her husband Michael Melango of New Jersey; his sister, Melissa Pelillo and her husband Daniel Pelillo of New Jersey; his maternal grandparents, Ivan and Carolina Skarica of New Jersey; his niece, Alora; his nephew, Colton Pelillo; and other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday, March 21, 2022 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 21, 2022 at 1 PM in the funeral home.  Father Edward Bader will officiate.

A private service will be held for the family at Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, NY at a later date.
