Elena Evangelista

Elena Evangelista of Liberty, NY, a retired bus driver for Rolling V and a long time area resident, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Garnet Health Medical Center, Harris, NY.  She was 77.

The daughter of the late Carmine and Pasqualina Gaudiello Biancaniello, she was born May 30, 1943 in Nusco, Italy.

Elena enjoyed cooking, sewing and knitting, reading, and gardening; but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Alfredo Evangelista, at home; two daughters, Teresa Couitt and her husband Gary of Liberty, NY and Maria Cherepanov and her husband Steve of Liberty, NY; one granddaughter, Megan Couitt of Liberty, NY; and two great grandchildren, Izek Resto and Kyrie Hunter.

Due to the current health crisis, memorial services will be held at a later date.
