George Hendrickson

George W. Hendrickson of Roscoe, NY, a lifelong area resident, died Monday, March 7, 2022 at the Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY.  He was 86.

The son of the late George and Molly Grosso Hendrickson, he was born March 14, 1935 in Hancock, NY.

George proudly served our country in the United States Army; he retired as a Correctional Officer from Sullivan Correctional Facility and had been a bus driver for many years; and he used to own two gas stations in Roscoe – The Hendrickson Shell Station and The Mobil Station.  “Bud” as many called him, was an exceptional artist, framer and wood worker; he was a pilot and flew planes and helicopters.  He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and kindness to everyone he loved.

Survivors include his wife, Judith K. D’Addezio-Hendrickson, at home; his children, Kathy Davis and her husband Kevin of Circleville, NY, Chuck Hendrickson and his wife Lori of Roscoe, NY, George “Buddy” Hendrickson of Fishkill, NY, Lisa Hendrickson of Middletown, NY and Shane Weidenfeld of Roscoe, NY; his brother, William “Bill” Hendrickson and his wife Debbie of Roscoe, NY; step brother, John Bock of Roscoe, NY; step children, Lisa Walker of Liberty, NY and Richard Walker of Troy, NY; his grandchildren, Shawn Hendrickson, Brenden Hendrickson, Kyle Hendrickson, Alana Davis, Shannon Davis, Leah Davis, Ashley Sirna, Lauren Sirna,  Danny Hendrickson, Patrick Hendrickson, Michael Hendrickson, Mckenzie Newell and Lizzie Newell; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Lewis Hendrickson; and his sister, Joyce South.

Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2022 from 10AM to 1PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral Services will be Friday, March 11, 2022 at 1 PM in the funeral home.

Burial with military honors will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
