Gerald Griffin, Sr.

Gerald M. Griffin, Sr. of Roscoe, NY a retired employee for IBM in Kingston, NY and a long-time area resident, died Sunday, March 19, 2023 at his home.  He was 88.

The son of the late Gerald B. and Evelyn K. Goldsmith Griffin, he was born February 2, 1935 in Walden, NY.

Gerald proudly served our Country in the US Army during the Korean War; he had been a member of the East Branch Community Church; a member of the American Legion Post # 167 in Downsville, NY and a life member of the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth A. Carswell Griffin, at home; two sons, Gerald Griffin and his wife June of Colorado Springs, CO and Matthew Griffin and his partner Debra Pollard of Glenmont, NY; one daughter, Elizabeth Augustine and her husband Robert of Ventura, CA; five grandchildren, Shane, Gerald, Luke, Sarah and Annabelle; five great grandchildren, Isabel, Margaret, Eloise, Mason and Liam; special family members, James, Karin, Fionnuala, and Sean.  He was predeceased by one daughter, Ruth Boras; one grandson, Lionel; and three brothers.

A memorial service will be Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 1 PM in the East Brach Community Church.  Burial will be in the Cooks Falls Cemetery, Cooks Falls, NY.
