Guillermina Cubero Velazquez of Liberty, NY, a home maker and a longtime area resident, died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Care Center at Sunset Lake, Liberty, NY. She was 91.
The daughter of the late Vicente Velazquez and Sara Hernandez, she was born October 6, 1929 in Moca, Puerto Rico.
Guillermina was a member of the First Spanish Pentecostal Church of Liberty; and she enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Survivors include her sons, Raul Cubero and his wife Maria of FL, Moses Cubero and his wife Terry, Elias Cubero and his wife Noelia, Abraham Cubero, Anibal Cubero and his wife Maria, Efrain Cubero and his wife Delia all of Puerto Rico, and Neftali Cubero and his wife Keila of Liberty, NY; two daughters, Ada Cubero of Liberty, NY and Olga Cubero of Loch Sheldrake, NY; two brothers, Raul Velazquez and Primitivo Velazquez; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Adrian Cubero Morales in July of 1989; and two children, Samuel Cubero and Obed Cubero.
Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2021 from 6 to 7 PM in the First Spanish Pentecostal Church, 100 South Main Street, Liberty, NY. Funeral services will begin Friday evening at 7 PM in the church. The Rev. Rafael Gonzalez will officiate. Social distancing guidelines must be met, a limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the church, facemasks are required.
Graveside services and burial will be Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11 AM at the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
