Josephine "Jody" Edelglass

Josephine Patricia “Jody” Edelglass of Harris, NY, a retired home health aide and a longtime area resident, died Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Skilled Nursing Unit at Garnet Health Hospital in Harris NY.  She was 77.

The daughter of the late Frank and Mary Beckwith Martin, she was born February 27, 1943 in Bronx, NY.

Jody was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Rock Hill, NY; she was a great care giver, loved the casino, traveling especially trips to Canada and dining out.

Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Simpson and her husband Dennis of Ft. Worth, Texas, Dawn Valle and her husband Pete of Monticello, NY, and Diane Edelglass of Tampa, FL; two sons, Daniel Edelglass and his wife Lisa of Roscoe, NY and Darrin Edelglass of Harris, NY; one brother, Frank Martin and his wife Maureen; 15 grandchildren, Duane, Brittney, Sean, Steffany, Ashley, Christine, Danielle, Morgan, Joshua, Austin, Alyssa, Brandon, Codie, Frankie, and Dante; a lifelong friend, Cal Edelglass; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 3-5 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.  Funeral services will be Thursday evening at 5 PM in the funeral Home.  The Rev. Roy Shaffer will officiate.  Social distancing guidelines must be met, a limited number of people, at one time, will be allowed in the funeral home, facemasks are required.

Committal service and burial will be Friday, August 21, 2020 at 10 AM in the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
