Lynne Hyzer

Lynne M. Hyzer of Livingston Manor, NY, a retired office manager and a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Garnet Health Hospital in Middletown, NY.  She was 80.

The daughter of the late Lynn P. Loughrey and Anita M. Alexander Loughrey, she was born August 4, 1941 in Livingston Manor, NY.

Lynne was a Communicant of St. Aloysius Church in Livingston Manor where she had been the Teacher Coordinator for religious education for thirty-four years, sang in the church choir and coordinated the children’s pageants. She had been the Girl’s Little League Softball Coach for eight years and a Girl Scout Leader for sixteen years. Lynne had worked as an office manager for Killian Transfer and for Keiser & Keiser Law office.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, Kenneth L. Hyzer, Sr. at home; four daughters, Leslie Porter and her husband Vincent of Liberty, NY, Lisa Green and her husband Robert of Suches, GA, Karen Hyzer of Livingston Manor, NY and Lori Schulman and her husband Jay of Woodstock, GA; two sisters, Lois Bertholf and her husband William of Livingston Manor, NY and Barbara Wehner of Lancaster, NY; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by a son, Kenneth L. Hyzer, Jr.  one daughter, Kathy Hyzer, and one sister Jean Wood.

Graveside services and burial will be Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1 PM in the Lew Beach Cemetery, Lew Beach, NY.  Father Edward Bader will officiate.
