Mary Ellen Hudz

Mary Ellen Hudz of Liberty, NY a retired secretary and a longtime area resident, died Thursday, March 5, 2020 at her home.  She was 73.

The daughter of the late Fred and Margaret A. McGurn Bevis, she was born November 8, 1946 in Utica, NY.

Mary Ellen had been an active member and secretary at the Vine and Branch Church in Liberty, NY, she had also served at other churches as a church secretary; being a woman of faith, she enjoyed hosting connection groups and Bible study where she touched many people over the years.  She was devoted to praying for others.

Survivors include her husband, Allan M. Hudz, at home; one daughter, Teri and her husband Scott Nelson of Utica, NY; one son, Greg and his wife Niltje of Mukwonago, WI; two grandchildren, Adrian and Skylar.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 2-4 in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 9, 2020 at 10 AM in Vine and Branch Church Route 52, Liberty, NY.  The Reverends Robin and Edward Sostak will officiate.
