Obituary

Ruth Bernstein of Liberty, NY, a homemaker and longtime area resident died Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. She was 93.

The daughter of the late Harry and Sylvia Pomerantz Shereshepsky, she was born July 14, 1928 in Bronx, NY.

Ruth enjoyed watching Turner Classic Movies and Jeopardy on television and she liked shopping, reading and knitting.

Survivors include one son, Louis Bernstein and his wife Carol of Oneonta, NY; three granddaughters, Katie Lotz, Renee Lotz and Jo Anna Lotz; one grandson, Joseph Lotz; three great grandchildren, Aiden Lotz, Alec Irwin and Gabriel Lotz; and her son in law, Georg Lotz. 

She was predeceased by her daughter, Elaine Lotz and by two brothers.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 10 - 11 AM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 11 AM in the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Livingston Manor, NY.
